Dr. Sabrina Kizzie - AMA New York’s New York Choice

Doctoral Lecturer, CUNY Baruch College

Dr. Sabrina Kizzie is an award-winning Digital Media Doctoral Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at the City University of New York - Baruch College in New York City.  With over a decade of experience, Dr. Kizzie has developed and taught various dynamic courses encompassing public relations, social media marketing, digital media and culture, interactive marketing, media plan development and marketing communications, and internship supervision.  Her exceptional teaching abilities were recognized in 2016 when she was honored as the Instructor of the Year for her social media and marketing instruction.

Drawing from more than 20 years of marketing expertise spanning diverse sectors such as healthcare, real estate, higher education, and the private industry, Dr. Kizzie has developed successful digital media marketing campaigns with renowned organizations, spearheading impactful events to inform and engage audiences.  She is nationally acclaimed as a consultant, marketing expert, and keynote speaker, with notable appearances at the Google NYC Office and various universities where she discusses Digital & Diversity. 

Dr. Kizzie’s doctoral dissertation delves into the perceptions of Black millennials regarding mobile advertising acceptance and its influence on their spending habits.  Her pioneering research has garnered widespread attention, including a feature on CBS News (New York) during primetime television.  Committed to lifelong learning and leadership development, Dr. Kizzie earned her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at California Southern University and an MPA and BS in Marketing from Long Island University Post Campus

A seasoned presenter, Dr. Kizzie has shared her insights at esteemed conferences such as the 2023 AMA Summer Academic Conference and regularly engages with student groups such as the AMA Baruch College chapter to discuss her career journey.  Her contributions extend beyond academia, as evidenced by appearances in publications such as  Crain's New York Business, Yahoo Sports, MSN, CBS-TV (New York), The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Mann Report, THE CITY, and blackenterprise.com.   

Dr. Kizzie was named a Forbes Fellow in 2018 by Forbes, Inc.  She continues to champion DEI efforts through innovative research, mentorship initiatives, and active participation in her community.  Additionally, Dr. Kizzie was selected to join ForbesBLK, an exclusive community curated for black professional leaders, entrepreneurs, and content creators who are driving systemic change in business, culture, and society with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Apart from her teaching commitment and speaking engagements, Dr. Kizzie is actively involved in community service.  Dr. Sabrina Kizzie received a Community Service and Congressional Achievement Award from the NCNW, Inc.  Dr. Kizzie was named the 2016 Women of the Year by Riverside Club- NANPWC, Inc. and selected as one of The Bronx Times' 25 Most Influential Women
